In the heart of the Puget Sound in Washington State awaits the Kitsap Peninsula. Adjacent to the Olympic Mountains and parallel to the Cascades, the Kitsap Peninsula is touched with over 300 miles of saltwater shoreline. The Kitsap Peninsula has a variety of towns with a wide selection of restaurants, shopping, recreation and relaxing.

With a combination of Native American, Scandinavian, military and pioneer cultures you are sure to find a town that you will fall in love with, all within less than an hour from Foxbridge Bed & Breakfast.

Bainbridge Island: A drive through Poulsbo and over the Agate Passage Bridge will put you on the Island. The absolutely breathtaking views of the Seattle skyline, Space Needle and Puget Sound are well worth taking the trip. Also enjoy shopping, delicious dining and while you’re there see a play at the community theater. The ferry dock to Seattle runs all day and is about a 30-minute trip.
Port Gamble: This privately owned town still has its old world charm. With a large farmers market on Sunday, the old town General Store and Post Office and a different event almost every weekend, Port Gamble has something for all ages.
Kingston: A quiet little town that once was a booming lumber town with a 30 minute ferry ride to Edmonds, WA. Experience delicious food from different parts of the world (like Crepes) and the Saturday morning Farmers Market.
Poulsbo: Loggers, farmers and fishermen founded this Norwegian town in 1892. Take a day and visit the unsurpassed downtown, which still holds much of it’s Norwegian charm and is known as “Little Norway”.
Silverdale: Five minutes from the Naval Base Bangor, Silverdale offers the largest shopping facility between Seattle/Tacoma and the Pacific Ocean. Take a picnic lunch to Old Towne Silverdale and eat on the water front dock of Dyes Inlet.
Bremerton: The largest city on the Kitsap
Peninsula and home to the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard. Downtown features a playful water park, an unguided tour on the retired naval destroyer USS Turner Joy and ample art galleries. The Seattle/Bremerton ferry also docks downtown and is an hour ride from Bremerton to downtown Seattle, winding through the islands.
Port Orchard: With a world-class marina, Port Orchard can also be reach from the foot ferry out of Bremerton. As Kitsap
County’s first incorporated city, Port Orchard features the states largest Saturday Farmers Market, great restaurants and unique downtown shopping. Also, all summer long enjoy free music at the gazebo by the marina on Thursday nights.
Gig
Harbor: In the most Southern part of the Kitsap Peninsula, Gig Harbor is the last town you will visit before crossing the famous Tacoma Narrows Bridge into Tacoma. Bring your camera on a clear day and take postcard perfect photos of the marina and the ever radiant Mount Rainier. With shopping, restaurants and the library on the marina, it gives you a chance to relax and take it all in.
Olympic National Park: Full of activities for all seasons, Hurricane Ridge is a great place to visit it’s Alpine Splendor.
Surrounding area: Take a drive or a ferry to the Seattle/Tacoma Metropolitan areas, Olympic and Cascade mountain range, Victoria, Canada, the Pacific Ocean and Portland, Oregon. Experience the full spectrum of the Kitsap
Peninsula and stay with us at Foxbridge Bed & Breakfast.
